Victron Multiplus VE.Bus USB-MK3 Support?

I've hooked up my Mulitplus Charger/Inverter to my signal K server, but the ve.direct plugin appears to not be compatible. Any suggestions on how to get data from the charger/inverter in to sk? Maybe using a rpi with Venus as a gobetween?

Yes, Venus OS is currently the only way

hrm curious if I can run Venus on a VM - maybe not.. I've got a beefier BeeLink SER5 running my SK... atleast I have a free pi4 I guess. I assume a full cerbo GX would also work?

Yes I don’t know if it can run in a VM.

@Scott Bender if I still wanted influx, grafana, etc I assume I can "echo" the venus-pi data to an external SK using venus-signalk

@Scott Bender can you summarize why only venus supports ve.bus/usb-mk3? is there some custom driver work in venus that can't be ported to sk plugins trivially?

I have never looked into it. There’s definitely custom code in Venus for it and it is most likely not public and the protocol not documented. But probably the main reason is just that no one has taken the time to do it because much cheaper/easier just to run Venus OS. (Plus all the benefits)
