Can't change opacity of tiles

Hi, I just installed the latest version of homarr V1, and can't seem to change the opacity of the tiles on either of my boards. I found the slider in the appearance section of the board settings but sliding this up or down doesn't seem to do anything. I imported my config from a previous version of homarr from before V1 if that somehow helps explain what is going on. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
Solution:
it turned out it was my dark reader extension on firefox

I have attached the log but the main line of note is that when I try to change the opacity, have the following entry 2025-04-22T10:10:43.739Z info: tRPC request from nextjs-react (json) by user 'rama (va7ax3ibblbcfwhl4ltyg0p5)' My operating system is Unraid, the Homarr version is 1.17.0, and the config is the default unraid template

Due to security reasons, I deleted your ZIP archive. Please upload in text files instead. As a side note, are you aware that opacity will only affect something if you've set a background image? Otherwise there is nothing to fall back to (e.g. opacity wouldn't do anything).

Yes i had a background image and it still wasn't working but I now found the problem

there's a seperate problem now though where I can't get homarr to show in dark mode even when toggling dark mode in the settings (yes I have the dark reader extension turned off now too)

How / where are you toggling dark mode? Can you disable all extensions in your browser? Does your browser allow setting cookies?

I was toggling it in the Management>Settings>Appearance>Dark but no change I've tried disabling all extensions I did some googling and saw that cmd + J can also toggle between light and dark mode with Homarr and this seemed to fix the issue Any reason why the setting doesn't do anything while cmd + j does?

Your user settings will override the global setting. Click on your profile and then switch the theme CMD + J does the same thing as toggling your user preference. It does not toggle the global setting New users (and anonymous visitors) will have the global setting by default.
