Disk Space Server Host Switch
I’m really looking to move my server to a new host, but I’ve hit a bit of a wall. My current server uses about 220GB of disk space, and the host I want to switch to is telling me that’s too much.
Has anyone run into this before? What are my options here?

They're telling you that's too much?
Screw them, find a different host
220G is a lot btw
You may want to trim your world size, but if they have 0 options that will allow you to use that much or more storage(even if you pay for it) I wouldn't go with them
use mcaselector
to delete useless chunks
https://github.com/Querz/mcaselector
pufferfish has a great guide about it
https://docs.pufferfish.host/plugins/trim-minecraft-world-mcaselector/
They want me to pay for extra storage. Should I do it?
How much?
Probably not?
What’s your attachment to this host anyway
they have very good prices for the hardware i'll be using
how much do you currently pay and for what specs?
i'm paying $28USD per month for
10GB RAM
CPU Boost (AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D): 5 Cores
and a few threads
for $8 more you can get a game server from https://waffle.host and have unlimited fair use nvme storage(ask for more info about what fair usage is). I am affiliated with waffle.host

but first you should run mcaselector to delete unwanted chunks
biased btw they own the company
"I am affiliated with waffle.host"
glad you added that
it was added before you sent that message, anyways, it doesnt matter
