ffs fred
Anyway, "Access is Denied" is a filesystem-side error. Something is blocking SMM from writing to that file. Either directory permissions, or the game may still be running.
Also, why delete the debug log? 🤨

triggered by @DefTheOnly⎛⎝0⏝⏝0⎛⎝On the way to the game, I unchecked the "read-only" boxes, and also launched SMM from the administrator. Are there any other obvious reasons for me to look for a solution?)
Try manually deleting the file its mentioning.
That's the point, I found a similar article on github and they also asked me to delete it, I did the same thing)
The folder is currently empty.
is your hard drive full?
no, 200gb free
Try rebooting & make sure the file isn't secretly still there, windows can mess up sometimes there. Also generally running as admin can cause some weird issues with SMM, so probably better not to
I assume you've got space on both C and E?
yep

if you go to
e:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Satisfactory
is there a folder called Mods
? If not, will explorer let you create it?She was here. Maybe I should delete her?

no, just see if you can create a folder in there
deleted it and created it again, still the same error.
and if the folder is "read only", could this be an error?
yes, that would indeed be a problem
I'll give you an example right now
restarting the PC doesn't help either, this checkmark still remains.
oh the sideways line is fine, it's a tick mark which would be an issue
that's also not the directory where you had satisfactory installed though, according to your logs

triggered by @DefTheOnly⎛⎝0⏝⏝0⎛⎝I may have confused the directories with the server, but the logs are fresh.

Thank you so much for trying. I wish you good luck 🙂
