I can't install the latest version of Satisfactory Plus through Mod Manager
Solution:Jump to solution
You need to create a new profile in SMM, one which only has the client install of the game selected.

Something is preventing this mod from loading. Troubleshooting ideas:
- Try closing and reopening the mod manager
- Try turning mods off and back on again in the Mod Manager
- Are you playing on Experimental? Check the compatibility info to find out if that mod supports it.
- Are you using the most recent version of the mentioned mod? If you are, be patient. Mod support for new versions is an ongoing effort by authors in their spare time. If you absolutely need this mod, you can play something else or start a fresh save while you wait for an update!

Make sure you updated the game before launching SMM. If your game is up to date, you have both U8 and 1.0 installed in the same folder at once, and SMM is detecting the U8 version.
To fix this, uninstall the game, delete the game install dir if it still exists (this is NOT the AppData folder, but the location where you installed the game), then reinstall the game, and reopen SMM.
If reinstalling the game takes too long for you, a quicker fix is to delete the
<game install dir>\Engine\Binaries\Win64\FactoryGame-Win64-Shipping.version
file, though this is not meant to be a permanent solution, as having the game installed twice in the same directory can cause issues later.Key Details for SMMDebug-2025-04-14-02-23-49.zip
Outdated mods found!
Satisfactory Mod Loader can be updated to
3.10.0
Update these mods, there may be fixes for your issue in doing so.I tried downloading from the ficsit.app the download windwos Client. I get the Satisfactory_Plus-Windows-1.0.0-pre1.smod file, rename it to .zip, un zip it, moved it to the mods folder. That didnt work. I manually install all of the dependency with SMM. This just causes the game to crash on start up. If i remove the Satisfactory_Plus-Windows-1.0.0-pre1 folder from the mods folder the game starts up fine
>sf+ Sorry, we don't support manual installation. I assume this is a pre alpha version of SF+ - if you can't install it through SMM directly, then you'll have to seek help from SF guys.
However, i do see you have the downgrade duplicate warning from Fred. If you were downgraded to keep playing SF you'll have to resolve that and be updated to 1.0 to get any alpha working
NOTE: Only pre-release versions of SF+ are available, meaning the mod is not complete and you will need to manually opt into the prerelease with SMM. No ETA (estimated time of arrival) for a full release has been provided.

If you're experiencing problems with Satisfactory plus please remember the following things:
- The mod is still alpha
- The mod is not compatible with saves created before the mod was added
- The mod might not be compatible with another mod you have installed
If you have more questions, suggestions or bug reports regarding Satisfactory plus or any other mod made by Kyrium you should visit his own discord as it's more likely you'll get an answer there.

Ahhh therr is that too yay Whomever updated the command
Follow the link there for instructions on how to get SMM to install the prerelease
I try to select the recent release but it fails. this is the error logs i got when it failed to download
here is what it looks like

It looks like you have not yet generated the debug info file!
Please do as the mod manager requested. Click the "Generate debug info" button and send the zip file in #help-using-mods otherwise we will not be able to help you!

triggered by @BenThe current new update is supposed to be available in SMM.
So im a bit confused regarding the "opt in" part now
If it was clear, I tried to stall both through SSM and manually described above
I can install 0.10.6 without any problems. but that version has its own issues
Could you drop a new debug file please, one that's after your -pre2 installation attempt?
Just means SMM won't auto-update to pre-release versions, for folk who have it already.
sure, ill start fresh with this one I removed everything from the game mods folder, installed SML 3.10 then plus

So yeah, there's yer problem. You still have an old pre-1.0 install of Satisfactory somewhere.
i though this latest mod verions should work with 1.0
Yeah but it is detecting 2 Satisfactories
Yes. But you have a pre 1.0 version of the game itself still installed somewhere.
Also, the reason for the error message above is this:
You were trying to install it to a Server profile in SMM. SF+ doesn't support dedi servers.
Solution
You need to create a new profile in SMM, one which only has the client install of the game selected.
ok, i tried selecting the server to see that would fix anything. ill get you update error logs here in a sec. i removed the server and the base game, reinstall base game again.
well that seem to work!
it looks like the server stuff being installed maybe was the problem. Thanks!
