box is accelerated in x axis by g sin(theta) so it would be 8=ut+at^2/2

even though i did not get the right answer , the distance wont be 8 it would be 10root2 its travelling across the cube

I didn't take the distance as 8...I took the displacement in x direction as 8

why only x, this is 3d , v is in both x and z direction then u should have taken Vx , not V

yesss you are right So my main question was why I get the correct answer when I consider displacement in the y-direction, but a wrong one when I look at the x-direction. This explanation clears it up—thanks!
