Le Laboreur Chore Coat
Hello, I've got my heart set on picking up a chore coat in french blue from either Le Laboreur or Le Mont St. Michel, and they're seemingly pretty hard to locate new. I guess this is a question of personal preference, but I'm wondering what people think about the "stonewashed" variant Gardenheir has on preorder right now. I don't know how the moleskin wears, like if I can expect it to get a similar patina pretty quickly anyway, or if it's just not what I have in mind so I should hold out. I guess my raw denim roots have me somewhat skeptical of anything 'prewashed' 🙂 Curious on any opinions from people with experience with these chore coats. Thanks!

Le Laboureur x Gardenheir French Cotton Work Jacket in Stonewashed Fre
Le Laboureur x Gardenheir Like all French workwear, the best days are after a few washes. The cotton has softened, color has faded and the fit has relaxed into your body. Which country are you located in?
I'm partial to the stone wash. I'd bet it's just a bit broken in compared to the fresh one
Colour wise I prefer chore coats to have some fading to them. But that's personal preference
Make it look like I worked in my work clothes
stonewash clears for me here
US, my bad
Are those jackets moleskin? The description doesn't say and the fabric looks like cotton twill to my eyes. Only asking since you mentioned moleskin in the OP

Thanks all. I saw this Paynter jacket in The Iron Snail's video and was smitten, but it's got that sharp not-faded-yet color: https://youtu.be/c6blgVapNWY?si=tlePH8Acr5jugUlx&t=501

I believe they make chore coats in a couple different fabrics. Looking through samples on eBay, there's a pretty clear difference between the moleskin and twill ones
I bought a vetra one after researching for one last year, but it shipped from France
