Files changed in dedicated server revert to default
so I (totally my friend not me) accidentally killed Kelvin...ive tried to spawn another and ive tried to get rid of his body. I finally just decided ill go into the game file and set his dead line to false. however, every time i do and i re-upload the zip file to the server, it reverts to default and removes all progress. Ive tried downloading it then changing. ive also tried editing it from the server panel then zipping it. Any suggestions would be help as we never realized how much we needed him until he was gone

you can turn on cheats and spawn him back in
I tried this, and it won't spawn another. Alot of the commands don't seem to work. I'm assuming it's because it's a dedicated server
can you load into the world file on singleplayer or something
and then use the spawn command, and then upload it?
forgot ping 💔 @sadgasm
yes many commands are impossible to execute on dedicated servers.
Try to download the save and open it with https://github.com/codengine/SOTFEdit
use it to revive kelvin and reupload the file.
Sotf Edit is a lot more reliable in creating a functional save file

You need to be the host to spawn him in multi player game using cheatstick.
