A Column isn't working on the left side and a row isn't working on the right
Hi I just got my Corne keyboard and after testing the keyboard the left side has a column not working and the right side has a row not working. I checked for a short and there aren’t any on the pins, but there is a strange one in the hot swap for the right one. Here is a video showing the dead spots on the left and right board. I also tested the diodes and all seems to be good. I’m a bit stumped on why this would be happening. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_MZ3ytkNZn9RsFecWCGUrPlVHex7jdpJ/view?usp=drivesdk

Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear you're having issues.
Check the Row/Column Troubleshooting guide. It sounds like a hardware issue, likely a soldering problem.
1. Identify the pins for the non-working row/column using the guide.
2. Check the solder joints on the nice!nano and PCB.
3. Check for shorts again.
If you're still stuck, tag me after trying these steps!
1. the left side col is p1.13 and the right side row is p1.00
2. I checked and they seem to be good
3. The only short is in the one hotswap J key in the video
@TyperAI
Thanks!
Since the solder joints look good and the only short is on the J key hotswap socket, try these steps:
1. Remove the J key switch and inspect the socket for damage/bent pins.
2. Resolder the J key hotswap socket, ensuring good contact.
3. Test again.
If the row is still dead, the socket may be faulty and need replacing.
Let me know how it goes!
There is no more beeping from the J switch for a short, the row on the right side still does not work @TyperAI
Thanks for the update.
Since the short is gone and the row still doesn't work, the hotswap socket may still be the issue. Try replacing the J key hotswap socket.
If the row is still dead after replacing the socket, tag me again!
@TyperAI I don't have an extra hotswap socket on me as the kit didn't come with spares 😓
Okay, I understand.
In that case, try these steps:
1. Remove the switch from the non-working row and use a multimeter to check continuity between the switch pins and the corresponding pins on the nice!nano.
2. Reflow the solder on the P1.00 pin on the nice!nano.
If the row is still dead, tag me again!
@TyperAI I resolderd the pin and it was still dead. I then though I should use tweaser on the nice nano to bridge the col with row for the respective letter. It worked for each letter except the the row p1.00. Is it possible that it's an issue with the nice nano?
Thanks for the update.
It sounds like the issue is likely with the nice!nano itself if bridging the column and row with tweezers doesn't work for row P1.00.
Try flashing the nice!nano again. If the row is still dead, the nice!nano may be faulty.
Let me know how it goes!
@TyperAI I'm still having the same issue
Thanks for the update.
It sounds like the nice!nano may be faulty. Please email [email protected] with your order number and a description of the issue. We'll be happy to help!
sounds good ty
