Should I use C2ME with 4 cpu cores?
If I should, what are the ideal settings to use with c2me for 1.21.1 and distant horizons for 1.21.1? (4 cores dedicated to this server on an EPYC 7413, 12gb ddr5 ram; more cores wont be allocated to this server)
For context, c2me ruins performance with usage preset set to 1.0 (+ all 4 threads dedicated to dh)
I'd like to get a baseline understanding of optimal settings, if it's worth to keep.
Does c2me still slow rendering down with DH on lower core counts? Maybe it got fixed in a new version of c2me?
Also, is there a way to get a new build of c2me with the increases in performance to work with 1.21.1 ? (I'll ask around so if no one knows no worries)
Does C2ME boost LOD rendering on pre-existing mode? What about client-side rendering of LODs transferred from a server
Might upgrade to 1.21.5 soon anyway
also using noisium and faster random
dh version is 2.3.2b (released 1-2 days ago)
I don't expect to get all these answers lol just casting a wide net

C2ME doesn't affect rendering, only generation
And with that I've answered all the questions I know the answer to
If you set the DH preset too high your cpu is gonna be more busy with generating that doing the rest which is needed for rendering a frame, loosing you performance
C2ME slowing down generation has been fixed since 2.3
