Reloading a Resource Pack while enabling Shaders causes Chunks to become invisible

When reloading a resourcepack with https://modrinth.com/mod/rrls and (at the same time before the resourcepack finishes) enabling shaders on Iris the chunks become invisible with graphicals glitches. Chunks are rendered normally when I pull up a modded GUI like BetterF3 or EMI. Turning off shaders fixes things of course.

...that seems quite relevant :ioa: GL state is very fragile

Enabling shaders while resource packs are still reloading sounds like very much unintended behavior tho

if DH breaks it, whatever's breaking can and will extend to Iris' code also yeah this is what I call a skill issue

Oh it very is so

Iris needs to know a lot of stuff about texture packs for a shader to work right

I regreted it once I clicked it and prayed it wouldn't mess up anything

i mean it won't do anything permanently

If you use a mod like rrls then use it correctly and don't enable random things like shaders and so on while your packs are loading

Myles124OP4d ago
Well yes, that was a mistake on my part

A game restart should for sure fix it

the way those photos look seems like DH overdraw is incorrectly activating have you tried a shader pack that isn't DH compatible? like SEUS
Myles124
Myles124OP4d ago
Lemme see if I can reproduce without DH and I can try that as well It happens without DH installed

I have no issues with it myself

Well let me create a new instance and try to recreate the bug Can't recreate with just Sodium and Iris, let me test with DH With so few mods installed the resourcepacks refresh before I can enable the shader so I can't tell if the bug is with another mod or if I'm just not enabling shaders quick enough Guess I'm going to spend a few hours combing through mods This worked. Going to see if readding every mod causes the issue to persists. If it doesn't I will be plenty happy. (It did not work, am not happy)

After an ungodly amount of time I found the culprit, its a mod called Palladium (https://github.com/ITsMrToad/PalladiumMod)

I don't know if the incompatibility is with Iris or RRLS
