Comp Sci Degree Worthiness
Hi! I wanted to ask about computer science and the job market after college. Everyone nowadays say that it is super oversaturated and isn't worth getting the degree anymore as after 4 years of college there's a low chance of getting a job after. In your guy's opinion is this true?

idk, its subject to the whims of the market, any answer today no matter how correct isn't going to stand the test of time
pursue what you want and pivot later, especially if you're young and have time to make a different choice later
in 4 years time will there be jobs for graduates? probably
will it be competitive? probably
but will that deter the people that still really want to pursue this line of employment in the future? probably not
so just like, ya know, do what feels right
I have been hearing its oversaturating since 2016, π ,
You hear its hard to get a job
You hear i applied 1000 applications did not get a job
You hear college computer science degree is not worth it
You hear AI will take over not worth it
You hear its hard they pick top university students
You hear its too competitive
You hear you wont get a job after , you will have work in a different field after graduation
You pick which one you want tk hear, or JUST DO ITβοΈ
For me personally I am so passionate about programming and computer science as a whole, I have been wanting to go for Computer Sci for so long and I know that it is the field I want to study in university. I always get told that if you're truly passionate about it then I would be fine, I'm just worried about going and unable to get a job
