How do I know both halves are paired?
I’ve been struggling to get the right half of my new corne typing. I’m able to flash, the nice!view works, etc, but it just won’t type. Left half works as expected. I’ve tried the ZMK settings reset, I’ve tried reflashing both halves multiple times, I’ve tried swapping the microcontrollers from left to right and vice versa, etc etc. the right half is just not working.
How do I know when they are actually paired together?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Corne Wireless!
It sounds like you've tried a lot of troubleshooting steps already.
Please try the steps outlined in our documentation for when the Split Halves Won't Connect.
Also, please read the Right Half Not Working section to confirm the left half is working as expected.
Let me know if you need further assistance!

Fix the right half ZMK keyboard.
I’ve tried everything in those docs.
@TyperAI
Thanks for the update.
It sounds like you've exhausted the software troubleshooting steps. Since the right half isn't working even with the microcontroller swapped, it points to a hardware issue on the right half PCB itself.
I recommend checking the solder joints and checking for shorts. You can find more information in our Row(s) or Column(s) Not Working guide.

@TyperAI I just tested for shorts. The only “shorts” I’m seeing is complete circuit on ground pins.
Thanks for checking for shorts.
A complete circuit on the ground pins is expected.
Since you've already tried swapping the nice!nanos and reflashing, the issue is likely a hardware problem on the right half PCB.
At this point, I recommend taking detailed, well-lit photos of both sides of the PCB, especially around the soldered components (nice!nano headers, switch sockets, etc.), and sending them to [email protected]. We'll take a look and see if we can spot any potential issues.
