Looking for suggestions on my first decent pair of jeans

Hi everyone. I have always had trouble with pants and they are the main weak point in my wardrobe. I've gained a little weight, too, so all the pants I bought a year ago no longer fit well. I see this as a chance to try and get used to pants. Some cursory research indicates that I should just go on Amazon and buy some Levi 501's until one fits me. Previously, I have worn only Uniqlo jeans, but I will admit that the Japanese fitting style (I lived in Japan and could never find a decent pair of jeans for my liking) is a bit too slim and tight for me, and low rise jeans make me feel self conscious. That being said, I've run holes into all the jeans I wear near the crotch/inner thigh area. Most pants will only last me ... about six months, before the material down there chafes away. I'd like stronger stuff. My budget is up to $200, but that is really the max I'd like to go. High rise is a plus. Thank you, Walker

if you want something stronger you could try something like the N&F strong guy jeans they fall under budget and people really like the denim they use from what i have heard, dont personally have any. That cut is the widest and highest rise they have though nothing crazy. it is raw denim so it will fade and maybe transfer a bit of dye at first.

When worn over time, this construction will provide a softer feeling denim and will emphasize vertical fading. Other details include contrast stitching, full grain brown leather patch, white selved...
