Distant horizons/ complementary.
I'm using complementary shaders and distant horizons keeps stuttering? People keep saying that if you have a high end pc complementary and distant should work. But it doesn't? It constantly stutters, drops fps even though i have a 4080, 32gb ram. Any fixes for this?
Also the transition between LOD's generated and the actual minecraft chunks isn't smooth at all.

Also i've already done the basic fixes (more ram).
Cpu usage isn't too high, nor is GPU at 100%
what is your cpu load in DH's settings?
how much ram did you give it?
Also the transition between LOD's generated and the actual minecraft chunks isn't smooth at all.thats to be expected, as complementary has not implemented a fade some shaders have it, some dont
i did fix it, turns out the 8gb ram i set it to wasn't enough or at least me pc wasn't utilizing it well with the shaders i increased it to 12 and it's fine.
the transition does look very distracting, but i guess that's my fault for using aternos (where the view distance is so small- so distant horizons starts generating low quality lods extremely close to me. which is distracting.
in single player worlds it works way better though.
anyways thank you! is the server plugin possible with aternos yet?
Thats on aternos to add I think
do you recommend i switch hosting? any better free ones? or good paid deals?
i think you can backup your server in aternos right? so technically i could take my server and start hosting it somewhere else?
the transition does look very distractingthats partially because you are using a shader without a fade
Modrinth hosting is one of the best atm iirc
Paid, but very good
is the server plugin possible with aternos yet?I believe the issue was the weird way the plugin was uploaded to modrinth. which should be fixed in the next plugin release
To add to this, the shader has to reimplement those things themselves, DH can't fix that
any good shaders, vanilla like you find that have a good fade?
i only know of shrimple
similar to complementary?
that has a fade
not many do
i'll check it out
