Recommendations for oversized button ups

I'm looking to upgrade my wardrobe with some oversized button ups, particularly for the summer. I'm not too sure what type of fabric, but probably oxford (I think that's ideal for year round and for comfort). I've also seen some in broadcloth as well. I'm aiming for something along the lines of Uniqlo prices. I see a lot of options for this as it's a pretty standard clothing item. I'm also not sure what colors and designs to get (probably white and black and maybe light pink for a bit of a flair). Does anyone have any specific recs? Also, any general tips around styling would be great!

Do you purposely size up?

Linen would be great for summer, very breathable. Honestly, for me personally, purchasing oversized button-ups online is always a gamble. I usually gauge it with chest measurement first and foremost, and anything like sleeve length I know I can just roll up or shorten if needed. e.g. my "tts" is usually like a 20-21" p2p if I'm wearing something "fitted", but I go for 23-24" p2p. I think I have a couple that are even 25" p2p iirc. If it's accessible, I'd recommend going to a local thrift and trying on oversized button-ups and seeing how they fit and flow on you, a little trial and error. A good chunk of mine have come from thrifting too because they coincidentally fit exactly how I want and are incredibly cheap. And when you do that, I feel like you can more confidentally buy them online going forward too and getting a feel for what measurements hit just right. For styling, this is really broad, but I really like wide pants with them - chinos, denim, anything really. They can flow and drape so well together.

Zegna shirts can be really cheap on ebay, I have a couple I sized up on that I'm looking forward to wearing this summer

When you size up, how should it fit? Do you just make sure the shoulder seams line up and then roll up sleeve and turk in shirt? Also one other thing is I'm not sure how much to size up. I'm normally a small, but if I size up to medium, I think the sleeves are longer but chest is not much bigger (the shoulder seams still look fitted). Do you have any pics of how oversized should fit?

Just put em on I have shortened sleeves before when they’re super super long on me but you don’t really have to Rolling them up works fine too Shoulders should be too big ideally, I never want the seam on my shoulder if I’m wearing an oversized shirt And you can tuck, but I also like to just let them drape untucked

if you want a more precise fit it may be worth looking for shirts that use numeric neck/sleeve sizing, but if you're just feeling this out i'd go based on vibes
