Updating from DH 2.1 to 2.3 server-side
Hello! I ran a MC 1.20.4 Fabric server for 2 players some time ago (dedicated server, not through a hosting site), both clients had DH 2.1.2-a installed.
However, I am now updating to MC 1.21.1 and with the new DH multiplayer support, I was wondering about the best way of integrating it. Do I copy the DH databases of both players into the DH MP folder? Do I merge the databases and then import it into the folder? Or will the server automatically receive the previously rendered areas from both clients and merge it itself? Or is it safer to just keep it as a client-side mod only? I don't want to corrupt anything since the world is huge and it would be a shame if it had to be re-rendered.
Thanks!
(Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find anything specifically about this through the FAQ nor on AnswerOverflow)

First, make a backup, so it's not an issue if the LODs get messed up. Then I would just move the LODs from the person who explored the most to the server.

Both have about the same amount of the world explored, but with different areas in some cases (Client A has an LOD that B doesn't and vice-versa, due to different cardinal directions being explored by each player). Any way to merge it?
If not then I'll pick the LODs of one client like you said
Not easily no
And I don't know the full process of doing that
Thanks!
