VC4-500 Idex weird first layer problems
I have been chasing this issue for many hours at this point and while many things have improved there is still something weird going on.
The skirt potion of every print that I try, and parts of the initial perimeters do not adhere to the build plate at all. I think it is because of the z-offset but I am not sure.
After that point, the rest of the first layer is laid down beautifully. Even with all the blobs from the failed portion of the print in the way.
I have shimmed and wright bed my x axis to get a better height map (came warped). I have tried re-doing beacon calibrations including temperature offset calibration via the VAOC. I have tried printing with both toolheads and different filament types. None of the above seems to make a real difference.
Open to any ideas on what to try next.

Well, I have made a silly mistake - installed the 0.6 nozzles instead of the 0.4 as didn't realize the printer came with both. After switching tha tover was able to quickly dial tihngs in as expected 🤦♂️

Spoke too soon - doing a larger one layer print shows that I have just dialed the z-offset in that one place properly. It stick in some random spots and not at all in others.
So my current hypothesis is that it isn't doing anything to compensate for bed uneveness right now.
Can you confirm that the mesh is being loaded?
I figured out that one issue was in my printer.cfg file I had two sections labled "[gcode_macro RatOS]" so that was likely a chunk of the problem.
I am still having a hard time dialing in z-offsets at this point as it doesn't seem to do a good job saving setup after microstepping. Even when I use SAVE_Z_OFFSET command instead of clicking the save button
Fixing the above issues, fully recalibrating the Beacon, and then actually turning on scan compensation allowed me to finally get good first layers. Though it also took very lightly sanding and then recleaning the bed with soap and water.
Sadly, my issues are now on the second layer which totally fails 😦
