More clarity on Suit choice

A month or so ago I asked about tailoring choices, and I’ve narrowed my options somewhat: looking for fabric or brand suggestions now. Here are the criteria I’m looking for: 1. Double breasted jacket 2. Summer fabric / weight, or at least all season 3. Wide, high rise pants, ideally with pleat and turn up 4. Drapey material / fit 5. Low buttoning point 6. Somewhere in the tan/beige/brown/orange family 7.Budget is 1200$, ideally 1K though I originally was looking at SFC but I think it’s out of budget with import duties and taxes. My next look was suit supply, and I’m specifically looking at their dark orange linen silk wool blend, custom, which is right around my budget. Spier and Mackay would also be an option though I don’t know if I can reallly get the look I’m after. I’m Canadian so might have some advantage in price to value, I dunno. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I will say that you will propably not get wide pants at suitsupply or spier. Both of them have largely stuck to slimmer or tapered cuts.

1-1.2k for something so specific is probably going to be pretty tough without some degree of compromise, though I'm guessing you know this.

One option worth exploring is also whether you really need a suit, or if you would be served just as well with suit separates as orange-tan is kind of a casual colour choice to begin with.

Indeed, that’s fair! I do need a suit for a few weddings, but I would definitely wear the pieces separately more often if they work

For example you might go for a nice drapey pair of sfc trousers and thrift a sports coat that works well with said trousers. Which is essentially what i did here: https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1116800072093532191/1351965471993364592

That’s pretty dope! Love the black shirt underneath I think if I have to give something up, it would be the double breasted aspect and then do something similar to what you suggested after @Yakkeks / Leo

If you go custom and edit your 'size passport' on suitsupply you can get pants with leg openings of ~10in and rises of ~13in depending on what size you wear not quite as wide as sfc but also a lot better than their rtw cuts

Yeah that’s what I was going to do

I see that Spier has similar if less varied options
