Wedding suit pointers
Hi guys!
I'm getting married in 2 months. Currently, I have a navy wool suit from Suitsupply that I like (bought it in 2020), but it's become a little tight at the waist now (think I've gained 2 inches in the waist since then). Also the pants are a little slim for my preference.
I'm a little unsure about what I should go for for a new suit, and how much $ I should put (thinking maybe $600?). I like nice things, but also I only wear a suit like once every 1-2 years... What would you go for, MTM? Spier & Mackay/Suitsupply?
I am in Seattle if you have recs for local shops as well.

If you want to do MTM you need to start yesterday. We're getting into wedding season and many MTM companies will be pushing their capacity.
$600 won't really get you anything MTM that's worthwhile imo so I'd see if you can put that money into your existing suit. If you did want to do MTM you'd want to about double your budget to start seeing meaningful options like Suit Supply MTM, Hall Madden, etc.

Do you have recommendations for MTO or off the rack suits? I know I've read people talking positively about Spier's suits in the discord.
I'd push towards Suit Supply esp since you're in Seattle and I imagine they have a store or two. Spier is good if they fit you but shipping to and from Canada right now is tough and you're on a tight deadline
Trying on in-person will speed up the process and help you decide what you don't and don't like much faster than ordering online at all

I'm wondering, do you have any recommendation for dress shirt and tie?
I wasn't sure if there are better brands to shop at than Suitsupply for those.
There’s tons of options! For ties I like Kent Wang and Kamakura. Shirts there’s a ton of options. I know my measurements so I got a shirt MTM from Proper Cloth but suit supply is good for both shirts and ties.
Really it’s just whether the shop has something you like in your price range.
