Understanding my spring/summer inspo

Hey y'all, I've been scrolling back through the waywt highlights from last May-September trying to identify some fits I like and trying to figure out how to adapt them to my wardrobe. Photo creds to: @zeometer @elbarto πŸ’ @artvandelayimporting @Smiles @Salami @malti and any I forgot, sorry! Looking through the inspo, I see a couple different items that appear to be common throughout including: loafers, linen & camp collar shirts, linen pants/shorts, etc. Looking for recommendations in the following price ranges: Loafers = ideally under $350 Shirts = ideally under $150/per Shorts = Ideally under $100/per or any other recommendations you have based on the inspo Thanks!

5in Patagonia baggies pop up a couple of times here, pic 5 & 8 of the first set, should be around ~$60.

These are a pair of earth studies shorts (mp104 I think?). Little outside your budget, but if you like the long integrated belt look Gramicci G-shorts are a good affordable option. Especially second hand

I have! It's probably one of my favorite posts from the subreddit. Thanks for the reminder, I gotta check it out again Yeah I think the MP-104s are probably too pricey for me. I wish the gramicci shorts had a slightly shorter inseam because they seem like just what I'm looking for Baggies are definitely on the list tho, so thank you!

Uniqlo and Muji just dropped their linen sets for the spring/summer which fit nicely into your price range Qlo has a lot of different stuff including camp collars but I prefer Muji's linen A common recommendation here is to look at vintage Banana Republic Irish linen shirts on eBay that usually go for about $25 and come in a wide variety of colors, sizes, and long/short sleeves If you're on eBay also look at PRL Andrew chino shorts. They're pleated and have a little more volume and are considered a really good value for the price But you can turn any old pair of pants into a nice pair of 5" inseam shorts for free with just a pair of scissors

the loafers I'm wearing are all different - alden penny loafers with the pants, doc marten adrians with the khaki shorts and vintage ll bean beefrolls with the green shirt/baggies all three are good options, with the latter two under your budget. meermin, gh bass, and allen edmonds (secondhand) are good alternative imo

Introducing whole new version of our casual loafer. For this specific loafer range we have developed a new last from scratch: The Nova Last. This last is designed to provide a superior loafer fit, featuring and adjusted heel fit to prevent any possible slippage and a generous fit in the forefoot, allowing for a very co

As far as loafer uppers, would you recommend a black or a darker brown in addition to these?

Black Def search eBay for loafers too Can also look at Portuguese Flannel for shirts, pretty much any brand will do camp collar shirts. Can also eBay that (sometimes also called Cuban collar) Also could look for fisherman sandals I think they sub for loafers well in the summer as a more casual option that's still a bit above the average sandal

I've had my eye on PF for a while, is it worth waiting for a sale or do they show up on ebay as well?

Pretty decent second hand market and end of season sales. Unless there's something you have to have, it's worth waiting imo

might be worth looking at jewelry or more showy accessories too; there's a lot of necklaces, watches and prominent belts represented (to say nothing of all the fits that didn't make highlights)

Should probably post this in your own new thread instead of this one since it’s a kinda separate question to the OP’s
