How can I avoid baiting here?
I think the main thing is not posting stuff in #fashion and #general-chat like it's a QnA thread

Hey sam what is your goal with this post
is this an attempt to learn and be informative to other people
(genuinely asking)
Generally if you think its a question aimed towards your own personal style, make a thread about it
If its just a cool thing you found or its a boarder topic, you can use #fashion
Something along the lines of “should i buy x” or “does this work with my wardrobe” would be good for here
Yes
It's basically learning :linkBow:
Okay i was just making sure
it comes off as very petty and aimed at awz
but i didn’t think you meant it that way
I think sam just took that comment personally
Thats how i took it
FWIW I didn't take it this way sam, but also thanks for looking out Levi!
I don't think you do it maliciously sam but you generally don't bring up brands to actually discuss them beyond the context of, "can I wear/should I buy this", or just to get a rise out of people. That's not really a brand or fashion channel discussion, that's a personal ask, attention-seeking, or both.
Or you'll do it mid convo about a brand or something for the same reason
I guess just be more aware of your intent and the context of the channel
I like that you're engaging with fashion more but time, place, and context, please.
