in ncert it says auxins promotes abscission but in my notes it says it inhibits
online also it says it inhibits so which is correct

They help to prevent fruit and leaf drop at early stages but promote the
abscission of older mature leaves and fruits.

i think they mean the conc is reduced in mature leaves so they fall ?
but wording suggests that auxin level is same it's function is just diff
it does both basically. it promotes the old ones to fall and inhibits the young ones from falling
ok but if they ask is it a promoter or inhibitor of abscission what do i write
i dont think they ask such qs for auxin... im not sure
is it illegal to know ?
