in ncert it says auxins promotes abscission but in my notes it says it inhibits online also it says it inhibits so which is correct

i think they mean the conc is reduced in mature leaves so they fall ? but wording suggests that auxin level is same it's function is just diff

it does both basically. it promotes the old ones to fall and inhibits the young ones from falling
