Extremely unstable connection (corne 6 col)

My keyboard cannot hold a connection for more than a few seconds before dropping inputs, lagging, smearing letters and disconnecting all together. This issue comes and goes over the course of minutes, days, and hours. There is no observable pattern, and I've just retouched all the solder joints on the left side (the right side has no problem communicating with the left side, only from the left to my computer). This happens across multiple devices and at any range, with and without other BT disturbances nearby. My firmware: https://github.com/CaptainNarthex/Agrion

Sorry to hear you're having connection issues. First, have you tried enabling increased transmit power and disabling 2M PHY? See this doc: https://docs.typeractive.xyz/troubleshooting/poor-range If that doesn't help, review the pairing process: https://docs.typeractive.xyz/troubleshooting/keyboard-wont-pair Also, ensure your device supports at least BLE 4.2. If the issue persists, tag me for further assistance.

I have done both of these things, no effect.

Thanks for confirming. Since the right side is stable, the issue is likely isolated to the left half's connection to your computer. Given that you've reflowed the solder joints, the next step is to try clearing the bond on both the keyboard and your computer, as outlined here: https://docs.typeractive.xyz/troubleshooting/keyboard-wont-pair Let me know if that helps!

Clearing the bond also doesn't work, done that multiple times.

Thanks for trying that. It seems like you've exhausted the common troubleshooting steps. At this point, it may be a hardware issue with the nice!nano itself. Do you have another nice!nano to test with? If not, tag me, and I can help explore other options.

Awaiting human insight Would swapping the two nice nanos and then flashing them to have to correct firmware for their side be a good way to troubleshoot?

Yes, swapping the nice!nanos and flashing them with the correct firmware for each side is a great way to troubleshoot! If the issue stays on the left side, the problem is likely with the PCB or components on that half. If the issue moves to the right side, the problem is likely with the nice!nano itself. See the firmware guide here: https://docs.typeractive.xyz/build-guides/corne-wireless/firmware Let me know what you find!

If you're not familiar, ZMK is a wireless-focused firmware, and it powers our Corne Wireless.

the issue still persists.

Thanks for confirming. Since the issue persists on the same side even after swapping the nice!nanos, the problem is likely with the PCB or components on the left half. Check the solder joints on the rows/columns: https://docs.typeractive.xyz/troubleshooting/rows-columns-not-working If you're still stuck, tag me, and I can help explore other options.

This problem is completely alleviated when used wired, but still fails over Bluetooth. All the solder joints are fine, checked them for a second time

so, very confusing results. after flashing both sides and testing it on pc 1, i got the same bad connection. on pc 2, it worked perfectly. i then took the wifi antenna off pc 2 and attached it to pc 1, and now both pcs seem to work fine. flashed my firmware back, still works. its really wierd though, because it used to be horrible with everything. its like it changes its mind on which problem it has before i can solve it. as of now it just seems pc 1's bt is weak without the antenna, and the kb works fine though i wouldnt be surprised if the problem came back somehow
