So ive got 2 drives, want to install Bazzite and Windows 11 for a dual boot dual drive OS setup....

i know how to install both of them but which should i install first so the other recognizes the other? I've got two 128 GB M.2 drives on my mobo and of course i have other huge SSDs for storage and games on other drives but these two dives are just for the OS's
thanks in advance

windows first, unplug windows drive install bazzite, plug windows drive back bazzite first, unplug bazzite drive install windows, plug bazzite drive back no way to mess up that method unless you unplug the wrong drive also read documentation https://docs.bazzite.gg you can do windows first and then manually partition the 2nd drive to guarantee it does not use the windows EFI partition, this is outlined in the documentation

I actually thought of doing that. Thank you! I’m gonna do bazzite first and then windows second, with that process which OS will boot up first when I push the power button or will it prompt me with an option to pick which OS with a timer? Bazzite is on disk 1 and windows will be in disk 0 Oh wow this is super thank you for the link !

the latest one will be the default probably, but it's up to your motherboard, and the boot order can be configured there

I’ve got the same setup (2 drives. One for bazzite one for windows) My only suggestion is be careful about bitlocker. If you boot windows via grub you may need to enter your bitlocker recovery key. So be sure to select the appropriate bootloader on boot instead of booting through grub if you want to go to windows.
