How do you people make rules for redstone builds?
Hello! I have a small Minecraft server with around an average of 7 players and i have no idea how to make rules for redstone, i don't know which specific things make alot of lag and which things don't.
I would like to offer my players to make cool redstone builds but i don't want to lag the server.
It's a survival server
My server specs are:
- 12GB ddr4 ram
- 2x Intel Xeon E5-2699 v4 @ 3.60GHz CPU (bit bad bud still runs okay)

Just tell them not to lag the server intentionally
I do doubt they will do anything big though considering itβs a spigot/forks server, most technical builds require certain game mechanics that may have been hit during optimizations
For me, I have a pretty sane community of players that just does the normal things, so I could just tell them to use common sense (ie whatβs not allowed on most other servers would probably not be allowed here)
Yeah, definetly. Tell them to use common sense. If they do build a laggy farm that can't be optimized, tell them to only use it when there are very few people online
Can't tell if its sarcasm. Big redstone machines are just laggy, you can't want lag-free and big redstone machines at the same time
We have no problem with that. We have some bigger Redstone builds while pretty much always having 20FPS on Fabric. You just need to help players reduce server lag, for example by asking them to clear their villager breeder etc.
Okay thanks for the help
