Account Owner has passed away, no access to domain

Hello everybody! I'm grasping at straws here at this point. I am an MSP that has acquired a new customer, and their previous IT provider had registered the domain that the customer is using for email services through cloudflare. This individual has since passed away and I need to get ahold of somebody that can help me move the domain into the customers own Cloudflare account. I do not have any type of credentials to the old CF account and cannot obtain any records of the login. Any ideas?

These links may help, but they only work when logged out. You can always use an Incognito Window or a Private Window to ensure you're logged out. If you know the email: https://dash.cloudflare.com/forgot-password If you know the email and have 2FA or email delivery issues: https://dash.cloudflare.com/login-help If you don't know the email: https://dash.cloudflare.com/forgot-email

Hey, that second link (/login-help) should help them raise a ticket, make sure they include as much information as possible and if the account email isn't accessible there is an option "I cannot receive e-mail to this address" for that. Feel free to share the ticket number once it's raised so we can escalate it onwards

Thanks for the response Erisa, I actually don't have the email address for the account that currently holds the domain, and am unable to get that information as the owner has passed away and nobody seems to have any record of what email address holds the account. I tried looking on https://lookup.icann.org/ and it just shows me the abuse@Cloudflare email address. Really been quite a mess actually. The case number I have open right now for this is 01415970 if that helps at all.
ICANN Lookup
The ICANN registration data lookup tool gives you the ability to look up the current registration data for domain names and Internet number resources.

Did you try the /forgot-email one?

Yes, however I do not know and would not have access to the email account that the cloudflare account would be tied to. I am the new IT Provider for the organization, taking over for the previous individual that has passed away. The old guy didn't have any notes kept or even anything that I can reference to try and find where it would be sitting. The only thing that I could think of to obtain that domain would be to have the medical practice owner verify that they're currently using the domain for their email services through O365, and provide whatever documentation necessary to prove ownership.

It should still walk you through the process to recover the account Whether you have access to the email address or not

And then following the bottom link just takes me to the blank https://www.support.cloudflare.com/s/?language=en_US#12345681 page. And seems like i can't search for that specific article.

I've escalated this ticket number so that someone from Cloudflare Support can take a look Feel free to add as much detail as you have as a reply to that ticket
