Core v4 raspberry pi USB shorted out

I'm in need of a support person to figure out what I have done wrong with the build on this core V4 build. Everything was fine to begin with on the first power on everything was lighting up correctly but the raspberry pi just kept blinking red and wouldn't blink green or hold the green LED. I unplugged the printer and pulled the SD card and reimagined it and tried again but this time the red light flicked red once and turned off it then started emitting smoke from the usb that the big tree tech board was plugged into. then that Pi was dead. I then reviewed all the wiring for the 4th time and made sure everything was secure and wired correctly. After feeling confident everything was okay I thought maybe the Pi was bad... So I tried another one I had on the shelf and it lasted to power cycles without booting and on the 3rd power on it smoked too. I'm out of ideas now at this point and would really appreciate any support on this one. I have everything together and on except the hybrid belt since the commissioning guide said to wait on that till after calibrations. I am not sure what info you need from me but I took some pictures to possibly help troubleshooting...

I don't know if I can help, but will ask some questions that may help others find the answer. Did you verify the voltage coming from the power supply? Can you verify that the USB is putting out 5V? Did you tie the AC and DC grounds together? How is the raspi powered? Maybe remove everything from the octopus except for power and verify some voltages coming out Try flashing the octopus via sd card, verify that works. (firmware.bin should change to firmware.cur)

Thank you for replying I will get the answer to these questions when I get home later tonight. Okay so I plugged it in and the octopus just parked and is fried now....

The only thing that was different was the pi wasn't plugged in and it was just power to the octopus Found out a had an extra jumper on a fan port and it was set to 24 and 12v idk if that's what fried the pi but it seems to have fried the octopus or at least that fan header is fried

I don't have the schematic, but that would definitely do bad things

Yeah... I also think this jumper is why the raspberry pi fried... Missed it when it said removed all jumpers because it was in the corner...
