Yup please post the detailed solution
find out the oxidation state of M in the compound
and then take the %
M(0.83)O(1)
let +2 oxidation states M ions be (x) then +3 will be (0.83.x)
oxidation state of oxygen is -2
therefore the equation will be
2(x)+ (0.83-x)3 -2 = 0
from here x = 0.49
now % will be = (0.49/0.83) x 100
= 59%
