Beacon LED not working
i have problem with beacon, the LED doesnt light up so its not possible to home the printer. It worked perfectly fine before cable managment in the back of the printer. every thing is connected even the beacon shows in the RatOS with the temperature. Any ideas ?

The LED on the Beacon is supposed to only light up when it detects metal. Put something metalic under it and see if it does
I know i know, sorry forget to mention that it doesnt work when metal is under the beacon.
So it has something to do with the cable, since you stated it worked prior to cable management. Did you by any chance shortend the cable and repin it? Maybe one of the crimps is at fault
beacause of the mess of the cables in the back, i was forced to unplug all usb from PI and the extension. Do you thing this could be the problem ?

Most definitely the issue is in the electronics box if you did not touch the toolhead
i also tried to update the firmware of the beacon. and its updated
You mentioned an extension, is that used in the Beacon cable?
i meant extension for RPI, when you have IDEX variant

Try to reseat everything and check again, maybe even plug the Beacon directly into the Pi
i tried firmware res, also lot of combination of pluging usb everywhere 😄
maybe whole new config ?
Before that, I would try to shutdown the PI, unplug the power to it for a few minutes, plug it in again and see if that helps
If that does not do it, then yeah, redoing the config
When you hit Home All, what does the Console show?

Post your printer.cfg
It might have not saved the calibration, that error only appears when there are certain lines missing from printer.cfg

Indeed, it is missing entirely
I suggest you do the "Fully automated RatOS Beacon calibration", it checks everything and saves automatically after it finishes
but if the led doesnt light up, it probably crash the HB

Not necessarily, by initializing the calibration, it will move the bed up very slowly and will start to detect it from like 3 cm before hitting anything
When it detects the bed, the LED will light up
coz a tried to move manually the HB to the beacon and nothing

If it does not light up, it will indeed crash but you have lenty of time to press the Emergency Stop before that happens

Have the Emergency Stop button ready to be pressed quickly if you notice something going wrong, but it shouldn't unless you have a dead Beacon which would have the LED on all the time
so i will put this into the console: BEACON_INITIAL_CALIBRATION

I would also suggest you perform all the other calibrations in that page, they really help in getting a perfect first layer, everytime

If you now put something metalic under the Beacon, you will notice that the LED lights up because it has the initial calibration done
