Left NiceView not coming on or occasionally does briefly, key columns not responding
Hi! Order TA15505
First Corne build and frankly, first soldering in years. I was using an old soldering iron with no temp control. Have one now for any repair work and some desoldering wick.
From previous help here I’ve gathered issue is with shorts or pins not soldered well. I’ve tried to clean up a couple but not sure if it’s on to trace on board. Any observations or suggestions? Here are some photos of the soldering work (looks a tad sloppy to me). The right board came out fine: display, all keys.

@J-Sun 🎷☀ Hi J-Sun, you probably need to resolder the joints it's not really hitting the gold terminals
It looks like the solder is collecting at the top of the pins
Mainly the back of the pcb and the nice view soldering should just rerun your soldering iron onto the terminals
The soldering on the controller looks ok
My soldering isn't perfect either but just for a comparison. The solder should almost cover the entire gold terminal.

Okay thanks! I’ll give that another go when I get back home in an hour. Update after that, I ran my multimeter over everything in continuity mode and everything seemed fine except these 2 pins.

as well as several of them getting a voltage beneath the nicenano controller. But yeah I though these looked okay as well

Should be all continuous OL between consecutive pins right?
I freakin’ got it, thank you! Actually did need to just go over a bunch of the pins again and reseat, add a little solder down to the pad.

Good job!!!! Happy to see you got it working.
