Can I setup localtonet to proxy a java/bedrock server?
And about how many tunnels would it take? I'm guessing 2 (so it would make me pay 2$ per month). Is there better options?

i researched of cloudflare but i'mafraid of using such a large service and I don't know if it can reverse proxy a mc server
Ah cloudflare is so great, we use them
It can proxy an mc server, but only using spectrum which if you wanted to purchase off cloudflare starts at $7,000/m
Or magic transit which starts at like $10k/m+
What exactly do you need to do?
https://playit.gg/ is free
reverse proxy my home ip
i've used that and only have had terrible experiences being my players couldn't even connect to the server
velocity
geyser has a plugin
oh you need a tunnel?
Oh god so your home hosting
Is this for friends?
To hide it? You need lower latency? You need ddos protection?
just to hide it
more like for a small group of people
average is like 7 players
it is a whitelist server only also
can just use tcpshield (although no geyser support)
i was considering tcp shield until i saw that there is no geyser and it's simply better to just pay for a vps from aws at like 80% less the price
25$ a month is just kinda crazy
Ummm
Well if u don't need ddos prot u can use playit
Otherwise any other service will be like $30/m
For geyser
There is nothing inherently wrong with home hosting for a few friends
technically not but just so many issues can happen from it
on top of that people home hosting for friends tend to not be very knowledgeable about networking/development
You donβt need to know how bgp routing works to host a Minecraft server when thereβs a million tutorials
no but i just had some guy dm me for help becuase he wasnt able to connect to his server.
He was connecting to the local ip.
From outside his network.
