Dual_Carriage Endstop Always Triggered
Hey all,
I've been trying for a few hours on this one, can't work it out. Just going through initial commissioning on my IDEX 500. Stuck at checking the endstops, because dual_carriage is reading always triggered. The X and Y endstops are functioning perfectly.
It's not the wiring, it's wired exactly the same as T0 which works perfectly, and it's obviously just the short harness from the Omron to the port on the toolboard, so not a lot to do there.
I've swapped the Omron over from T1 to T0, and dual_carriage still just reads triggered while T0 works perfectly. So it's not the Omron itself.
The RatOS.cfg appears to be correct, the endstop pin is defined as toolboard_t1:PB6 (see attached photo).
I feel like the only thing it can be at this point is a dead port on the EBB42? Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Ok, so I tested the endstops with a multimeter. Both are showing 5v when open, and that drops down to 1v when closed.
So I feel like that rules out the toolboards and the wiring as an issue? The endstops are getting the right voltages
Has to be software related then?
Right, just going to follow up in here now that I have it solved.
Very annoyingly, I had crimped slightly too much insulation on the red wire in the 5-pin connector, so the conductor wasn't making good contact.
Oof, thats frustrating. Glad you found it though!
