nice!nano’s not charging my batteries.
I bought these batties off amazon to use on my split keyboard handwired build.
The batteries had some charge when I installed them, and both nice!nanos do work with batteries and power on, but they do not seem to be able to charge the batteries at all.
I left them plugged overnight and still no charge.
I took both halves of my build apart and this is what I have tried:
- Checking with a multimeter the voltage of the batteries, they seem to be drained. So I tested with another battery and the nice-nanos on both sides work.
- however, when I plug the USB-C cable to the nice nano I see the following: The Blue light flashes, and the orange light flahes even faster and never turns on, even with the battery connected.
- I checked with the multimeter on the B+ and B- pads on the nice!nano and they show no change on both cases with or without the cable connected.
What else can I check for, and should I be ordering replacements? thx in advance.

It sounds like you've done some great troubleshooting already!
First, make sure the power switch is on while charging. The nice!nano won't charge the battery if the switch is off.
If that doesn't work, it's possible the batteries you got from Amazon have the polarity reversed. This can prevent charging. Compare the polarity of your new batteries to the ones we sell to ensure they match.
If the polarity is correct and the switch is on, it's possible there's an issue with the charging circuit on the nice!nano.
Let me know if any of these steps help! If not, tag me again, and we can explore replacement options.

these are the batteries I got, and the polarity seems to be right? I connected the B+ to the PCB directly then the B- (from the battery) goes to the Power-button and then to the B- on the PCB.
I’m using the RAW and GND pins (that are connected to the B+ and B-)
These are pretty big batteries, did you enable the charging boost?
can you share a picture of your set up please?
- charging boost: yes
- which part do you need a picture of? I’ll try to get it today
seeing the nano generally + battery connection
sorry for not sending the pic, I’m 100% sure now that the circuit is fried somehow
charing the batteries externally and then plugging them in make the nice!nanos work without flaw (bluetooth)
I think it might have been user error? who knows.
