Row and column of Corne stopped working

Hi, I have been happily using my Corne keyboard for 2 years. Just now I think I transferred some static when touching my keyboard, I saw a spark. Now the EDC column and bottom thumb row stopped working (see screenshot). Do I need to get a new controller or pcb? Or is there a way to save this? 😬

That sounds frustrating! It's likely a hardware issue. First, identify the nice!nano pins for the affected row/column using this guide: https://docs.typeractive.xyz/build-guides/corne-wireless/troubleshooting Then, check the solder joints on those pins and inspect for any shorts. The Adafruit Soldering Guide can help. If the issue persists, reach out again, and I'll do my best to assist!

There's no issues with solder joints, this keyboard was always working

Could you pop the nano and swap to the right side to see if the problem follows? I'm guessing it will but before doing anything wacky might be good to check

This has happened to me twice now after i got the premium case. I'm on my second replacement nano. I hear the team is working on developing and testing a more robust fix on the nano to help protect against ESD's.

If you swap the nanos, does the issue follow with the nano or stay on the same side?

It follows the nano
