CPU spike on teleport? NVMe drive, pregenerated chunks
Hello, I am an admin on a server that has a good processor and an NVMe drive. According to the host we have either Intel i9-9900k @ 5GHz / Ryzen 5700X @ 4.6GHz as the CPU.
I have noticed spikes in the server panel up to 400% CPU usage when teleporting. Our entire map is pregenerated so it should not need to create any new chunks, just load in what is already there. On my client end I am the only player connected, I TP to somewhere and it takes around 5 seconds just loading in the initial chunk, and then loads in only a few surrounding chunks per second. Nowhere near close to "fast".
Can someone let me know if this is normal, or optionally maybe if it is some kind of integration issue with a plugin?
Thanks

Spark can be used to see why your server or client is lagging.
Users can share a spark report via
/spark profiler start --timeout 300
which creates a report after 5 minutes. The spark report is useful in debugging why your server is lagging, so ideally you should always provide one while asking for support.

doesn’t seem to be any tps issues
but it’s just 1 player online
Yes, it's just me teleporting around a few times to see how chunks load in.
