Water In Distant Horizons LOD Field Appearing Colorless?

It moves as I move. If I move backwards, the grey colorless water moves with me. Vice versa
is this only in custom biomes?

do you have a mod that changes how some colours look over time? like a seasons mod?

but it is set to be frozen right now, the season hasnt changed
my guess is that its related to that
