I previously contacted the “WOW” team, and they confirmed that they do not have the authority to enable the map update. Therefore, I request that you escalate the complaint to customer support to review my request and approve the update.

It is mentioned in the event rules that you will not be able to edit your map until the announcement stage once you submit it. If the WOW Team also provided you the same answer then that means you cannot update your map. Feel free to reach out to the in-game customer service if you require further assistance.
