Left half of wireless Corne won't turn on

Hi, recently finished a first build. Both sides were able to be flashed with firmware, but only the right half turns on with battery power when the switch is on (up). The left half works while plugged in to USB. I used no-solder headers and all pins look to be making contact. One thing I noticed is perhaps the battery plug is incorrect? See the picture where the red is not aligned to the positive (+) insert for the left side. On the right board the red goes to positive. The jack seems like it can only go in one way, so it's not as if I can flip it. Is this the issue or is there something else? Thanks! Edit: Regarding the bot's guess: these are the batteries which were shipped with the kit.

It sounds like you've done a thorough job so far! The battery polarity is likely the issue. It's not standardized, and an incorrectly polarized battery will prevent the board from turning on. See the battery guide for more info. Under "International Customers," there are tips for sourcing batteries and ensuring correct polarity. If you need more help, reply or tag me!

Installing the batteries is a simple but particular step. This guide will go over the positioning and installation of them.

I got it to work by swapping the black and red wires on the battery plug. You have to push down on the metal lip (circled in red), pull the wire, and reinsert with the proper orientation. After that I reflashed the left side; now it runs on battery power and pairs with the right half. @jamz You could look into trying this too. Connecting the red wire with + might seem like a common sense step, but it's confusing--particularly as a first time builder--when the battery plugs are shipped with that "wrong" orientation. Or perhaps my PCB was assembled incorrectly, either way.

Thanks, but I actually I had to reseat my nanos.. I guess when unplugging the type c cable they got loose.. which is a common issue with the no solder headers I hear
