Connecting to Linux machine

Hello, I am trying to connect my 5-col wireless Corne to my linux desktop PC (fresh install) and it is not showing up on the device list to pair. It works fine pairing with other devices and I have another keyboard which paired with no problem. I have already cleared the BT profile. It seems that it might just not be showing the “Corne” name but I do not know how to pick it out of all the other random addresses.

Sorry you're having trouble pairing your Corne! First, ensure your Linux machine supports at least BLE 4.2. Since it pairs with other devices, the issue might be with the device name. ZMK uses "profiles" for pairing. Is the profile active and unpaired? See this guide for more info: https://docs.typeractive.xyz/troubleshooting/keyboard-wont-pair Also, try pairing with a phone to see if the issue is specific to your Linux machine. Let me know if that helps! If not, tag me after trying those steps.

The profile is active and unpaired. It connects to my phone, laptop, and ipad with no issue. @TyperAI I just checked, and by bluetooth adapter only supports BLE 4.0. I ordered one that supports 4.2 so it should work then. Thanks!

Ah, that'll do it! BLE 4.2 is required. The new adapter should solve the problem. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I've found in the past I sometimes also have to set CONFIG_BT_CTLR_PHY_2M=n depending on the system
