Unable to flash firmware to nice!nano
Hi all! I just received two nice nanos in the mail and was able to flash one of them with both the firmware provided on typeractive's website as well as my own custom firmware. But I'm having difficulty getting my second nano to flash properly.
When I plug in the nano, it's blue light flashes rapidly on its own without pressing the reset button. And it only requires one press of the reset button/shorting gnd and rst to get it to enter it's bootloader mode and register as a drive on my windows computer. When I try to upload my firmware my computer gives an interesting error that says
"These files might be harmful to your computer: Your internet security settings suggest that one or more files may be harmful. Do you want to use it anyway?"I can ignore the warning and upload the firmware anyways and the drive will disconnect itself and reboot as normal. But it seems like the nano isn't picking up the changes since no matter how many times I upload different firmwares it's behavior remains consistent and doesn't react to key presses. I've re-flashed the bootloader successfully a couple of times but that doesn't seem to change anything either. Does anyone recognize this issue? Thanks!

It sounds like you're having trouble flashing your nice!nano.
The warning message is normal and can be ignored.
Try these steps:
1. Double-tap the reset button to enter bootloader mode.
2. Drag and drop the
.uf2
file onto the NICENANO
drive.
3. After flashing, the drive will disappear and the nice!nano will reboot.
If that doesn't work, see this guide: https://docs.typeractive.xyz/troubleshooting/entering-bootloader

I tried the things that are mentioned in this guide and it doesn't seem to be working. It acts like its working throught the entire process but it doesn't seem to actually be changing its firmware
I see. Let's try a few more things:
1. Different USB cable/port: Sometimes, the cable or port can cause issues.
2. Test the other half: Flash the firmware to the other nice!nano to see if it works.
3. ZMK Flashing Troubleshooting: https://zmk.dev/docs/troubleshooting#failed-flash
If none of these work, it may be a hardware issue with the nice!nano. Let me know what you find!

The following pages provide suggestions for common errors that may occur while setting up or using devices running ZMK. If the information provided is insufficient to resolve an issue, feel free to seek out additional help from the ZMK Discord.
The other nice nanos I have seem to work fine and don't behave in the way this one does. I also tried a different cable and the flashing issues section on the zmk troubleshooting page doesn't include errors where it appears to successfully transfer but doesn't actually change anything.
I think it might be a hardware issue...
It sounds like you've exhausted the software troubleshooting steps and it's likely a hardware issue with the nice!nano.

Ok thanks buddy
Hi all! I submitted a return ticket to the typeractive website a couple of days ago for this issue and I was wondering what the turn around rate is for hearing back? I've been itching to get the keyboard running so sorry if I'm being a tad impatient...
