looking for recommendations on what to do.
hi so i’m trying to figure out which one to go with performance wise, cachy os, bazzite or nobara and yes i realize this is the bazzite related server but i moreso just wanted some opinions. my specs are a gt 1030 and a i7 8700. basically what’s best for my personal hardware at the moment.

I haven't tried CachyOS yet so I can't comment on that one. Nobara is really good but updates can often break it especially the major releases like Nobara 40 to 41. Now I'm going to be biased but I'd go with Bazzite because of it's easy rollback functionality, nvidia quite often has regressions in their driver so being able to rebase to an older image for an older driver makes Bazzite much easier imo.
Note that you not going to be able to use the deck version of Bazzite because it's unsupported with your Nvidia GTX 1030, not sure if Nobara does deck images with Nvidia. If you going with a desktop then that isn't an issue.
in terms of raw performance in gaming which would be better for me bazzite or nobara?
