Looking for help with femboy sizing and clothing recommendations :3
Aba so I've been on the lookout for some clothing as well as help with sizing. Six foot with fairly smooth and clear skin and I would love to show off my legs. I will link some things that I have been looking at below and I'm sure this would help some others as well :3. Furry themed things and such are always appreciated as well. Please give a link for the product and/or detailed info if you do leave any suggestions!

going to need some more clarity on the q -- do you want to know how womens sizing translates to men's?
in general i ignore sizes and just go for garment measurements

soft measuring tape is ideal but yeah you can use a string + regular ruler to similar purposes
but crucially what you want are the measurements of the clothes themselves, not just your body measurements
an M in one item will be totally different from an M in another item
Can you tell me what body parts to measure
If you have stuff that already fits well in the waist mesure that, then compare to flat waist measures of what you want to buy
like this with pants or skirts
for stuff like sweatshirts your body dimensions are a little less important but i'd make sure it isn't too small in the chest, for which you might need largest part of chest measurements
i basically yolo it on sweatshirts all the time though, i think oversized is fine

It will be more consistent
for pants -- waist, like oman said, and inseam.
for shirts -- probably shoulders.
also important is knowing how long you want shirts and pants to be

hi I did the change from M to W clothes let me tell you measuring clothes is much easier
Just to know the minimum I can wear then what to oversize
Unless you have a buddy measuring like arms and legs is nigh impossible

Look at the size chart - they’ll often have a graphic, then find an article of clothing you like the fit of and measure the same parts and match that to the size chart

Elastic will stretch out a bit over time. I'd recommend going a bit smaller than your natural body. Let's say like 1 or 2 inches. I made that number up just nw

anyway @Trixie, if flat lay measurements really are not an option you can do on the body with a string. its going to be a bit less precise. measure your waist where you want the waist to sit then compare that to the waist measure on the website.

I think its going to be get many solid suggestions out of this server just because this stuff is pretty outside of the general style here so people aren't going to have as many recs off the top of their heads, It may be worth getting some solid waist and chest measurements and finding something like a subreddit that would be more knowledgeable and posting a "looking for X_items" post that includes some stuff you already like, a budget, and your measurements.
if you want the standard baby trans girl/femboiy stuff i can give you some like basic pointers for what to look for but actually getting there is up to you yeah unless you have a really specific style or stuff
like you can look for american apparel pleated skirts + their dupes on like ebay/depop

and you'll probably get better recommendations with threads like "looking specifically for x, i have a budget of y", stuff like that! i also agree w ana that pls don't buy things off of amazon and the like, there are 100% better options out there
also you are measuring in 3d, so if the item has a lay flat measurements it will be half of what you have here. like the 35" will translate closer to a ~17" flat waistband measurement.

since i'm guessing the elastic is done on the waistband

I have a whole finger of room in the crotch and it's an inch or two above ankles

women shirts generally have a thinner waist, men's shirts are more rectangular

this is the size chart for the etsy shorts you posted - you'd compare the measurements you just took to the ones listed here. All that's provided is waist size, so find the one that matches yours and you got your size

I would still suggest large, just because string mesuments tend to run a bit small and the drawstring makes an inch or two easy to make up, but too small is just too small
