Another server already has RCON enabled with that IP and RCON port.
Good afternoon. I'm having trouble connecting my Rust server. I'm receiving the following error:
Another server already has RCON enabled with that IP and RCON port.
Servers on the same IP must have unique RCON ports.
How can I resolve this? Perhaps we made a mistake and ended up with a duplicate connection.

Provide the IP & Port of the new server.
BM will clear that server record, then you can update.
Any server sharing an IP Must have all unique ports.
185.207.214.245
35500
How long does the connection process take? Could this have happened because I entered it multiple times?
I created an organization, entered the server RCON, and clicked "Add Server," but nothing happened the first time. I tried again, and still nothing. On the third attempt, an error appeared.
At the same time, I tried to find my server in the search after the first and second "Add Server" attempts, but it wasn’t there
I'm trying to find it, but it's not in the list.

You trying to update a server in your RCON or just add a new one?
Try adding it now, server was marked dead. So it didn't query.
I just forced query to refresh it.

It looks like there was previously a server on this IP that no longer exists. However, we purchased hosting and wanted to add our own server to BattleMetrics.
But we encountered an error, or nothing happened at all. It seems that this issue was related to the server already being marked as "dead" in the system.
Now, I entered the server details:
IP: 185.189.255.248
Port: 35000
It was added without any problems and is listed correctly. However, the changes you made are still causing an error when trying to add it to the organization. Why is this happening?

But I can't add the server from the link.

I have added this server to the organization.

Ahh someone has held their server on their account,
@Hordicus will have to clear the connection for you.
thanks i am waiting
The server is still not assigned to the organization. It gives an error. What should I do?

Only battlemetrics staff can.
I tagged him already.

I don’t know what went wrong. I tried adding the server with this IP: 185.207.214.245:35500, but it gave the same error again.
Could it be that I accidentally didn’t specify the organization, and it got linked incorrectly? After your command, I tried doing it again, and the loading process seemed different than usual, as if it took longer, but the server didn’t appear. On my second attempt, it showed an error message.

it should error out if you didn't select an org i think.
which way are you adding the server?
Go to server here: https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/rust/31928317
Click Setup Server mid right.
See if you can get it to claim that way.
I used this method to add the server, and maybe I didn’t specify the organization at the bottom... I don’t remember.
I tried your method via https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/rust/31928317, but it gives the same error.

Do you already have a server in your dashboard?
only one 185.189.255.248:35000
Both servers have same RCON Port?
nope
185.207.214.245:35500 RCON 36501
185.189.255.248:35000 RCON 36001
Shared server box correct?
If that's the rcon port the server host has assigned you it should work, but according to BM someone else already is using that RCON Port.
I suggest contacting your hosting & having them check all servers linked to that IP & Verify RCON Ports.
https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/search?q=%22185.189.255.248%22&sort=score
If it's your assigned Port, it indicates another server changed theirs.
So, you think that I'm basically using someone else's RCON port?
And I should clarify this with the host?
That's what the BM error message is stating.
& BM would only state such if another server already has a connection on that RCON port.
Got it. I'll contact the person responsible for the server hosting today and clarify everything.
Thank you, the issue is resolved. It was linked to another service. I was just an intermediary, so I wasn't aware of the whole situation. And the owner forgot that they had linked it. Thank you for your help.
Another question has come up. How can I embed a map from the Rustmaps website? Do I need to open another ticket for this, or can you assist here?
you can't, that is a automatted system to my knowledge.
Im unsure exactly how it works
could be something linked in server description however
Org>Server Description
I want to add a map image to the page. Will it generate automatically after a wipe? Because when I went to Org - Server Description, there's no option to input a map link. There's only a description field, but even after applying changes, it doesn't update on the page
as i stated, im unsure how it works.
Is there some kind of guide or reference/help documentation?
It's a backend working, no documentation of such.
Only Hordicus can answer.
ok, thanks
IIRC RustMaps has a plugin that your server needs to run in order for it to obtain custom map information. When a server wipes, we request map info from RustMaps.
