VAOC Cam freezing
Hello people. I just received the replacement camera sent from RR as the first one was defective (it was the board, hance I haven't used the second band cable and camera sensor)
Now I'm trying to go through the VAOC calibration, but the image from the camera blinks all the time (loosing connection and then restoring it every second or two) when in the WEBCAM tab. This is not bothering me as it's not happening when starting the VAOC calibration, but I still can't finish it. The image from the camera freezes randomly through the process and besides the toolheads are moving and the diod is able to be switch on and off, I'm not seeing that as the image is frozen. Firmware restart or Restart is not helping. I need to restart the whole printer and then I'm able to start all over, until it freezes again. The closest I could get is setin T0, but when summoning T1, the image froze again. Any hint's or tips how what am I doing wrong or how to solve that?

Now I see this in WEBCAM tab

and this, when trying to enter Calibration menu...

Check your crowsnest config

And remove the VAOC cam from webcams.
Having it also setup as a webcam may cause issues if the device is already in use
The config is the same. I think you're right. I followed an advice in the VCore 4 thread, but maybe it's not correct. I guess, if the signal is already used, then it will have issues in VAOC.
In the meantime I realized, when the image is frozen in the Configuration wizard, it's still good in WBECAM tab. Using two tabs in browser - one for calibration to see the values and another one to look at the camera is working. I'll try removing it from Cameras, though.
Damn... still stuck on the green circle. (and Bacon randomly disconnecting is also killing me)
I'll continue tomorrow, If I don't want to sleep in the yard with the printer. My wife is already too mad 😄
Forgot to mention, I just replaced the band cable and camera sensor too with the new arrived. All is the same, exept the FPS which from 14-15 jumped up to 24-25
I've made some rearrangements and by accident plugged the VAOC directly to the pi. No issue with it since. Of course now even more lost connections to MCU. Currently I'm blaming the Hub for all the errors. Let's see what happens. I thought Waveshare are supposed to be a respectful manufacturer...
Same with me.
And it's not that is used as a webcam but I declared additionally as a webcam because in that VAOC SOFWARE IT CONSTANTLY FREEZES.
Wich desables every aspect of an Idex printer.
And even if there is a hardware problem and a matter of wich usb port is used, still the cam can reconnect as a webcam while the VAOC software fails in econnecting until a whole raspi reboot. And at least that is a software issue and should be fixed.
Exactly. Same here.
I've rearranged tha USBs once more. Beacon and VAOC camera - directly to the pi, all the rest to the Hub and no more errors (yet). I've even made my first print. So it seems the hub is to blame. Somehow it struggles transferring the signal from the Beacon and the camera to the pi.
Let's see what happens when the new hub ordered from Amazon arrives.
