Help with finding the right walking shoe!
I'm travelling to Japan in the summer and will be doing a lot of walking! I reckon I need 2 good walking shoes to alternate between. I have one good pair, now I need the other!
I read that Hoka's are good and comfortable, but some said they're not very durable? On running shoes also seem good but I have no experience with them. I've only had a pair of brooks for walking/running and they've been pretty great, just don't work with my outfits nowadays. Axel Arigato shoes seem decent.
I'm still exploring and evolving my fashion taste, so I reckon it's safest to get some versatile shoes! Included some outfits, but I also wear black pants in summer, mostly straight fit dressier/textured ones. And some coloured shirts.
I'm based in the EU. Budget is max 300$. I wanted to thrift the shoes to get them cheaper, thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance!

People like salomons as well. imo sneaker durability is kinda overblown, it has more to do with how you walk than anything else. Some people absolutely shred shoes and other people don't that just how it is
I recommend going to a running store and trying on a few pairs. Some specialize in analyzing your gait / stride and can make recommendations based on how you walk or jog.
I'm a big Salomon person. Asics are super comfy too.
Mizuno as well.

Are all solid walking shoes that can double for casual wear imo
Thanks for the suggestions! The 1st and 3rd look good! I'm not sure how I would style nr2?
I should say I have some overpronation, and so it would be good if the shoe had some decent support to it!
The Mizunos would be more supportive than that particular pair of asics.
my mizuno's are the least comfortable pair of sneaker i own but i guess your mileage may vary
Do you have the wave rider 10’s?
No, I have Sky Medal S. Still thought it was relevant to share though.
Definitely! Didn’t mean to sound snarky, I was more curious if it were wave rider 10’s since those are pretty comfy shoes, especially for their age.
Just an update. I thrifted a pair of unused Mizuno wave rider 10s! Just hope they'll fit me

Those are flames. Hopefully they work out 🙂
