Vintage bootcut/flares
Do I need more jeans? No. Do I want more? Yes, so here goes.
I’m wanting a pair of either boot cut or flared jeans, preferably vintage but open to reproductions or more modern releases in a vintage style.
I’ve attached images of the styles I like and what I’d be looking for similar versions of. I have a budget of ~£50-100, and my measurements are:
Waist: 29-30in
Inseam: 33.5in, so open to 33 and 34in inseam
Rise: ideally between 10 1/4 and 11in, preferably towards the higher waisted end of that
Uk based and would prefer to only buy from domestic sellers in order to save on shipping (and therefore be able to spend more on the jeans themselves)

Not denim, but the aforementioned navy wool flares in case you ever feel like branching out:

British Royal Navy RN Class II Black Flared Bell Bottom Sailors Tro...
These are real sailors' trousers with flared bottoms, a Flat front with zip fly, two side pockets, and two rear pockets. These trousers are beautiful! a top-quality pair of dress trousers made in England by one of the MOD approved manufacturers.
Ah they look super cool, I tend to lean more westernwear but i’m definitely gonna save them on ebay
i absolutely love these jeans, but they’re just gonna be too small

if it had been a uk seller i definitely wouldve taken the risk, but overseas return would be such a pain
You can always message them asking for precise measurements, sometimes these things are vanity sized.
Also maybe worth asking if they still have deadstock ones in your size. Sometimes ppl are slow-ish in putting all their deadstock online.
Ah yeah that might not be a bad shout, ill shoot them a message in a little bit
Gotchu—
Vintage Levi’s orange tab 517s.
Indigofera (can’t remember the exact name of the cut but it’s great)
Wrangler cowboy cut bootcut version. Only comes in indigo, but it’s pretty much a spot on flared fit.
Naked and Famous Groovy Guy
Levi’s premium 517s (less consistent in flare than vintage, but still pretty solid if you find a good pair)
It’s important to note that wrangler cowboy cuts are not a true bootcut in the way you’re thinking about em
They’re a flare to a slight taper to facilitate stacking
So if you want em to flare more you have to raw hem them (if we’re talking classics)
knew you’d come through for me, i’ve found a cool pair of wrangler flares for ~£30. Cowboy cuts are a bit hard to source over here but will keep my eyes out for bootcut versions, any idea the model number?
atm i’m really tryna work into that 70s style. there was a pic i loved but lost that showed exactly what i wanted. will try find it and send it here
fuck it didn’t embed
These are a few of those jeans I posted in fits. I think you’d be looking for the vintage Levi’s, n+f groovy guys, or bootcut wranglers tbh

so not too aggressive but noticeable is looking for

Yeah def see above
they’re exactly what i’m looking for, especially that last pic
Last one is a pair of orange tab Levi’s 🤘
sick, i’ll keep my eye out. cheers man
i’ve put a bud on these already, will see what i can find for orange tabs
The Indigofera Cut Warp forgot is called Wyatt and is in fact pretty great. Out of budget though.
Ye I wasn’t sure on the price because I only know fascist cash (USD) :xd:
as a rule GBP is about 20% less than USD
(For now)
👀
how tts are the 517s?
Varies drastically, go off actual measurements if you can
gotcha, will do
damn these fuckers are hard to find in my size lmao. will keep my eyes peeled and searches saved
In addition to orange tab 517s, I also really like 70s/80s Lee riders. I’ve found them to have slightly more room in the thigh than the 517s if that’s important to you. Price wise, they tend to be slightly cheaper on average.
