Easy and fast cloud solution?
As much as I try to use open source solutions, Google Drive remains one of the best cloud solutions for me.
I say "easy and fast" because creating an account is fast, and has a lot of free storage (15 GB).
Is there an app as good as the Windows Google Drive app?
Or are there other cloud solutions I might have missed that are worth trying?
I'm specifically looking for a two way sync solution, not an "online only" option like KDE's KIO GDrive.
I came across Celeste, an open source app that seems awesome, but I noticed a bunch of negative reviews on its flatpak page.

Has anyone used it?
Thanks in advance! Please mention me if you reply.

looks like it is just a rclone gui, you can try using it directly
😓

to echo what asen23 suggested. you can try to set up the google cloud account with rclone, then creat a systemd mount for the share
I could, however I'm specifically looking for a GUI
I did look up rclone however
and found this
Rclone UI — The desktop GUI for rclone & S3
Rclone UI is the easiest way to use rclone on Windows, Mac and Linux! Open Source and written in Rust. Mount buckets from S3, Backblaze, and more...
claims to be open source, but the website is very empty
I quite like the built in support for google drive included in gnome. It mounts and shows everything in nautilus
this GUI does work fine from my experience. Seems like a decent app. It will throw an error about "unable to view contents" when you set a file mapping, but syncing does function
from my experiencewhich cloud service? I tried google drive and google just gives me a useless error…
I was using it just now actually, so 2-way sync did work for me. The error is useless when you set a local dir <-> gdrive dir mapping. If you place files in either location with Celeste running, it should work. Note that with GDrive, the files have to be your own not shared with you
I will try again soon, is it ok if I share screenshots? @jollins
@DD (ping when you reply) just use rclone directly
its the backend for celeste and its pretty damn nice
For sure
did you create a client ID?

nope
