Are you trying to double click the distant horizons jar?
i was but now i have a different issue lol
im on 1.21.4 distant horizons and i cant see past the normal 32 chunks
Do you have fabric installed?

yea
do i need to load minecraft through fabric or something? i just opened it through minecraft launcher and went on the fabric version of 1.21.4
/config
To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider to edit the config.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
is this there?

let me check
you need to put the dh jar in the mods folder if you havent already

it is there
i have sodium and iris too if that might be an issue somehow
ok, have you checked if the shader you downloaded supports dh?
yea it said iris and sodium work alongside distant horizons
the shader, not iris
Try turning the shader off and see if DH works
iris is the shader i believe
or sodium
ok one moment
iris is a shader loader, not a shader itself
/shadersupport

Are you on a server?
yes im on an aternos server
if not, wait for the terrain to generate
ok
/server
Distant Generation doesn't work in multiplayer, meaning DH won't be able to generate LODs for chunks outside the vanilla render distance.
Instead, as you travel around the world, LODs will be generated for areas you've visited.
In the next update, DH 2.3, you will be able to add DH to your server granted it's running a compatible mod/plugin loader (Fabric, (Neo)Forge, Bukkit and their derivatives). This will allow the server to generate LODs and send them to the client, making distant generation possible on multiplayer.
If you wish to try 2.3 early, read everything in this thread: https://discord.com/channels/881614130614767666/1285883332768563284
Keep in mind that this build is still experimental, we do not encourage using it on large servers until further testing.

ahh so it only works on singleplayer
No, you need to explore
it will then generate the LOD data from the explore chunks
so if i run around itll lod?
load?
yes
yes
ahh
yeah its starting to work now but whenever i apply the shader the fog re-appears lol is there any way to fix that?
oh i see why its cause im using a different shader
