is it all settings or just enable rendering?
show LOD gen/import progress gets set to true too
this only happens on 1.21.4 nightly, not 1.21.1
try deleting your config at .minecraft/config/distanthorizons.toml
it still resets
thats the only knows fix
so idk what else you can do

If it's still being reset that may mean your config file is either being locked by your OS/another program, or there are permission issues preventing the file from being modified.
If all else fails, try manually modifying the config file using notepad.
